On occasion Power Plants located in various Industries including Hospitals and Universities experience situations where excess or obsolete equipment is no longer needed either because of a new updated design or a permanent shutdown of the facility.

Boilers & Machinery LLC is here to help you sell your equipment. It is one of the mainstays of our business. We perform this task by accessing vendors both locally and from around the Globe who have a need for used equipment in the Power Plant venue.

We provide the following three avenues for selling of equipment:

IN PLACE: This is the most expedient and least expensive alternative for selling your equipment provided you have the floor space and time available for the sell to materialize. If you chose this method we then begin discussions with the Owner on the selling price of the equipment and amount that each party is due at the time of the sell. Our normal distribution is a 40-60% split with the majority paid to the Owner. However, one of the Hallmarks of our Company is we remain flexible and have adjusted these figures on occasion based on the number and size of the equipment being sold and the financial position of the Company were doing business with.

REMOVAL & STORAGE: This is the most expensive option unless the facility has a lay down area where the equipment can either be stored out of the weather or covered with a tarp. If not an option, then a local lay down or storage area close to the facility is preferable to shipping to a distant location. The additional costs besides storage would include rigging and transportation from the facility to the lay down area.

PURCHASE: Depending on the type of equipment and specified age limit we will often entertain an outright purchase of the equipment provided we have the space available for storage in our WV and KS locations.

We also provide Management and Logistics services through Total Engineering Resources, Inc. to coordinate removal, dismantling, and or shipping of equipment domestically and worldwide. There are no magic formulas or quick solutions to moving large equipment, just time tested procedures and persistence.
